Sondra Burnett to Celebrate Family Reunion On New Album
CABOT, Arkansas – Sondra Burnett, one of Southern Gospel’s most beloved female soloists, will be releasing her much anticipated new album, Family Reunion, soon.
Family Reunion was produced by popular industry veteran Les Butler at Upfront Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The project was engineered by Terry Thompson.
“I’m very excited about this new album,” remarked Sondra Burnett. “I think Family Reunion really reflects who I am as a singer, a wife, a mother, a Christian – all that. I’m just a country gal from Arkansas who loves the Lord. I believe this new recording says just that.”
Burnett, a critically acclaimed vocalist and comedienne, wrote two of the 12 tracks on Family Reunion – “He’s Alive” and “He Came to Me.” The album also features many other prominent songwriters in the Southern Gospel industry.
Family Reunion is the follow up to her critically acclaimed previous recording, simply titled Sondra. Sondra featured the hit songs “I Can Tell You the Time,” “It’s Me Again, Lord,” and “It’s Alright.” The album also earned Sondra three SGN Music Award nominations, including Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
“I’ve got a lot of exciting things planned for my ministry this year,” mentioned Sondra. “Releasing Family Reunion is just the beginning!”
Sondra was nominated for an American Christian Music Award in 2005 for Favorite Female Southern Gospel Artist. Her current single is currently eating up the airwaves across the country and has already found a place at home in the Top 10 on both the SouthernGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart and American Christian Music Journal’s Top 50 Southern Gospel chart.
